Ghanaian musician Gbadago Joy, popularly known by his stage name Joywxrld, is steadily making his mark in the music industry with his distinctive melodious tone and unique fusion of Afrobeat and dancehall rhythms.
His passion for music traces back to his high school days, where he began exploring his creativity and developing his sound. Joywxrld credits his musical inspiration to both Ghanaian and Jamaican legends, noting that he grew up listening to the likes of Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, Lucky Dube, and Jahmiel.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Joywxrld shared,
“My musical journey began in high school where I started developing love and passion for music and creativity. I grew up listening to legendary Ghanaian and Jamaican music. I looked up to the likes of Stonebwoy, Burna Boy, Lucky Dube, and Jahmiel.”
Born and raised in “Dove” in the Volta Region, Joywxrld has already begun carving a name for himself with songs like ‘Radar’ featuring Van Basit.
He has graced several stages, including high school events and the Evandy Hostel Hall Week at the University of Ghana, where his performances drew notable attention.
With his signature blend of Afro-fusion and Afro-dancehall, Joywxrld continues to capture the hearts of music lovers across the country.
The rising star is now gearing up for the release of his new single, “Odo,” set to premiere on October 11, 2025, across all major music platforms.
