Nottingham Forest has completed the signing of Swiss international Dan Ndoye from Serie A side Bologna for a reported fee of £40 million.
The forward, who can also operate as a winger, featured for Switzerland at UEFA Euro 2024 and is expected to travel to England within the next 24 hours to undergo a medical.
Ndoye began his football journey in the youth academy of FC Lausanne-Sport (Team Vaud), starting in his hometown of Nyon before moving to Lausanne.
Progressing rapidly through the ranks, he joined the U18 squad at just 15 and went on to score 23 goals in 38 matches across the U17 and U18 levels. At 17, he stepped up to Team Vaud U21 in Switzerland’s fourth division, netting 7 goals in 21 appearances.
He made his professional debut in February 2019 against FC Vaduz and scored his first senior goal just five days later versus SC Kriens. Ndoye finished that half-season with 6 goals in 15 appearances, quickly cementing his place as a key figure in the Lausanne first team.
